Ezra Brooks

Ezra Brooks is a brand of Kentucky bourbon from Bardstown. Originally founded in 1957, in Lawrenceburg, it was purchased by Luxco (Lux Row Distillers) in the 1990s and has gone from strength to strength ever since. 

The distillery brings together modern innovation and traditional Kentucky methods. It covers a site of 18,000 square feet and has a 43 foot copper still. There’s also a six barrel warehouse for maturation, which also holds whiskey from other Lux Row Distiller brands – such as Rebel Yell and David Nicholson. Ezra Brooks uses new charred American white oak barrels.

Their flagship expression, the Ezra Brooks Black Label, is an excellent value-for-money introduction to bourbon whiskey. It’s bottled at 80 proof and goes brilliantly with a mixer. Their range also includes an award-winning 90 proof rye whiskey and 99 proof straight bourbon.
