LAGG

LAGG is a relatively new whisky distillery on the Isle of Arran. Based in Kilmory, building began in 2017 and the first middle cut of spirit was taken two years later. The area has a rich history in illicit whisky production, as spirit known as Arran Waters, used to be smuggled from here to mainland Scotland!

LAGG is the sister distillery to Arran. While Arran is known for its sweet, creamy and citrus profile, LAGG uses peat to create an earthy and smoky character. 

Their first core release was the LAGG Kilmory Edition. It’s aged in 100% first fill bourbon casks and has fruity and vanilla notes, alongside heather smoke. Their other release is the Corriecravie, which spends a six-month finishing period in Oloroso sherry hogsheads from Jerez in Spain. It’s bottled at a punchy 55% ABV and is full of fruit and spice.
